My brain doesn’t feel in gear

I’ve been packing for a long weekend away on the motorbike, and it’s taken a while. Not a lot to pack though, really – three days bimbling around an area I know well isn’t a tall order.

I used to deploy globally with around four hour’s notice. I literally had two sets of bags packed – warm kit and cold kit – to accommodate wherever I’d be sent. Any tweaks were made quickly and with little thought. How times change and I’ve felt a bit low about it.

But yes, times change. My energy’s been needed elsewhere and what was once familiar now needs rehearsal and preparation.

We are what we repeatedly do, so I know how I get ready will improve. Soon enough I’ll have solid routines again, and with the same energy I’ll be going farther and with less fuss.

We are what we repeatedly do.

Kindly, keep going.
