I started the day with a plan and that went out the window pretty early. Sure, there are strategies to help turn things around, but this isn’t that post.
Prompted by a fun jam on a Queen hit, my mind has spent most of the day in Germany – between 1989 and 1993. My Dad blew an obscene amount of money on a six-disc magazine CD player and would rock out in the living room, playing air drums (free with every CD!) and singing at the top of his lungs, even if he had the headphones on. We’d drive to Düsseldorf just to use the same CD magazine in the car, going to a Baskin Robbins place to give some kind of excuse for the drive. He was my best friend then, and I miss that person.
One song brought back all these memories.
That’s a kind of magic.
