Seth Godin, in the intro to his ‘ship it’ journal, writes:
Discomfort brings engagement and change.
Discomfort means you’re doing something that others were unlikely to do, because they’re hiding out in the comfortable zone.
Discomfort can mean many things, but as I’m feeling quite uncomfortable with where I am, I’ll be engaging and changing and creating something new. It might not work. That’s okay. To remind me it’s okay I’m reading ‘Adapt‘ by Tim Harford – the subtitle of which reads ‘why success always starts with failure’
