I don’t recall ever having one, but for a while it was popular to use a mechanical kitchen timer that looked like a pomodoro – the Italian word for tomato. From there, the Pomodoro Technique was born as a way of getting things done.
A couple of good friends have seemed a little stuck recently; struggling to focus amid the turmoil that’s going on around us all. I’ve recommended trying a cut down version of the technique to get themselves into the groove on something. It’s one of those useful aids for cracking what can be most difficult part of a problem – getting started.
What can you accomplish if you put just 25 minutes towards a problem? That’s a manageable commitment isn’t it? So, go. Get your groove on. Get started.
The clock is ticking and you can get in sync with it.
