Listening to toonz right now illustrates the power of activity to get the wheels moving again when things have got stuck. Battling depression, my brain can go into paralysing thought spirals that require interruption.
For me, music and motion are the two best ways to nudge myself out of rumination and into action. Motion usually follows up-beat music and putting headphones on is easier than lacing up the trainers and if I can just get the blood pumping positively then I can get on with the day. Beats self-pity every time.
