Objectively it may not be true, but I’m sure that when sandwiches are cut into two triangle halves, they taste nicer. Yep, I am writing this as I polish off my lunch!
I couldn’t tell you exactly why. Perhaps eating that way gives a different ratio of crust to middle. Maybe it’s because how to grab the sammich is more obvious. What it think, though, is because it hints at a level of care. It harks back to good times – triangle sandwiches were the go-to for a good picnic, not a rushed lunch.
So it’s a feeling, it’s entirely subjective, it has a lot to do with memories and not so much to do with the here and now. Which is true about a lot of things. Bernadette Jiwa’s post really resonated with me today.
