The safety of “I don’t know”.

In my day job I’m doing a lot of learning right now. There’s a need to get things done quickly, amid a recognition that collectively we don’t have all the skills we’d like. In some organisations there could be a lot of defensive behaviour going on; delightfully, we don’t have that.

We can safely say “I don’t know, but I’m working on it”.

Knowing we can do this keeps me engaged in improving what we do and how we do it, with energy, passion, and enthusiasm.
